Ex-Secy.-Treasurer Sentenced in NY Fed. Ct. for Embezzlement
On February 10, 2003, in the U.S. Dist. Ct. for the N. District of New York, Thomas Lannon, former secretary-treasurer of Machinists Local Lodge #1562, was sentenced to six months of home detention followed by three years of probation and to perform 120 hours of community service. Lannon pled guilty to embezzling union funds and made restitution in the amount of $13,175 following an investigation by the Buffalo branch of the U.S. Ofc. of Labor-Mgmt. Standards.
